This is part two in this series on how to attract money into your life. if you missed part 1, you can read it by clicking here. Today I want to talk to you about the meaning of money. I want to ask you a question. Why do you want money? What is it doing for you? Is it truly bringing you happiness or is it bringing you misery?
It is sad, but many times people become so obsessed with their pursuit of money that they start to neglect their spouses, children, friends, and other people who are close in their lives. If the pursuit of money is costing you in this way, is it really worth it?
They Don’t Understand
If you ask most people whether they understand the meaning of money, most will probably tell you that they do. However, I firmly believe that this is nonsense. For example, on one end of the spectrum you have those who have very little money tell you that money is not important to them. They will tell you that what matters most to them is their family and health. Yet, these same people will get up early in the morning and drive to a job that they probably hate, slaving away for 40 hours or more. If money wasn’t important to them, would they submit themselves to this maddening rat race?
The Other Side Of The Spectrum
Then, on the other end of the spectrum, you have those individuals who I will call the “big talkers.” These individuals will quickly tell you that they plan to be rich, have many mansions, and drive many fancy cars. Yet, when you ask them what is their plan to achieve this kind of life, they have nothing to say. They will get to it someday. These people do not understand money either. They believe in the fictitious version of the law of attraction. In their universe they will attract money in a magical manner without taking any action. This is laughable.
I want to emphasize one important point: money truly isn’t everything. For example, take a close look at most of the major and minor drug lords of the world. They become insanely rich by participating in illegal activities, completely diminishing in their minds the importance of their good reputation. In the end, in most cases, it is pointless because most of them end up dead or behind bars. Money isn’t worth sacrificing your reputation. Please always keep this in mind.
Do Not Be Cheap
You also have those individuals who hold onto to every bit of the money they earn. Most would label these people cheap. Have you noticed that many times these people never have money despite their obsession with saving. These people also do not understand the meaning of money.
You can make money your god or you can see it as the devil himself. Both conclusions are wrong and both lead to destruction. When you see money as your god you neglect other important aspects of your life and when you see money as the devil you will remain broke and miserable.
Have you noticed how you can try to explain money to a little child before you realize that this effort is pointless? Little children do not care about the value of money. To them it is just a piece of paper. This is how most people act towards money without realizing it. People throw away their money in useless activities and, because of this, they remain broke.
The True Meaning Of Money
So, I must conclude by revealing to you the meaning of money. Money is simply a tool or/and an instrument. I would compare it to a car. You can make your car your god, but when you stop to think about it, it is really just a tool that will take you from point a to point b. This is money. It is simply a tool that can take you from one point of your life to the other. This is how you must view money. Instead of asking how much money you have, ask yourself what that money will help you achieve. When you develop this view towards money you are on the right path to success.
