In part 2 of this groundbreaking series on how to achieve MAXIMUM WEALTH, I cover more powerful concepts that will enable you to reach the next level in your life. Today, I want to focus heavily on the power of language, and how the wealthy and the poor use language in vastly different ways. If you missed part 1 of this series, you can read it here.
The Language Of The Poor And Wealthy
If you spend any time speaking with people who are not very successful in life, you will quickly notice that they spend most of their time talking about things and other people. They love gossip. In fact, sometimes it seems that their lives revolve around gossip.
The wealthy, however, spend most of their time talking about their next big idea or project. They understand that time is too limited to be spending it talking about what others are doing or about events that are out of their control.
Are You A Celebrity?
Poor people seem to be addicted to celebrities. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy sports and listening to music from great artists, but I know that worshipping celebrities is pretty silly. Most people, however, get so attached to their favorite celebrities that they have little time to talk about anything else.
Well, rich people would rather become celebrities. They have no time to worship entertainment celebrities. Think about it: instead of letting your children worship celebrities, why not become the celebrity your children can look up to?
Expand Your Mind
Poor people stop learning new concepts. They stop challenging themselves to grow. Wealthy people understand the importance of expanding their mind. I like to compare it to weight lifting.
When you first lift weights, you are only able to lift a small amount. As you continue lifting weights, you are able to add weight as you get stronger. In the same way, if you continue to add intellectual weight to your mind, your mind expands and becomes stronger.
The Owner Mindset
If you listen to ordinary individuals, they spend their time talking about their favorite sports teams or department stores. The wealthy don’t spend their time on this; they are too busy actually owning the same teams and department stores. Therefore, I challenge you to develop and owner mentally. Think about owning your own business rather than just talking about your favorite business.
The Way You Talk About Others
When poor people talk about others, it’s usually to tear them down and criticize people in a harsh and negative way. All you have to do is go on an internet website and read the comments section. You will notice that people have a complete lack of respect for each other.
When the wealthy talk about others, it’s usually to praise them. Instead of tearing others down, successful people seek to learn from the great accomplishments of others. This is how you grow in life: you continue on the path that others have already set for you.
The Limited Mindset
Poor people limit their minds and think that they can’t succeed because they lack the money to get started. Wealthy people understand that, if they don’t have the money to get started, that’s fine, because they have created the idea that will make them rich. Never forget this valuable concept: ideas can make you rich.
Change Your Language, Change Your Life
Overall, I just want to encourage you to change your language. Most people don’t realize this, but the way they talk to others and to themselves is holding them back. When you use self-defeating phrases like “I can’t” or “I’m introverted”, you are really creating a self-fulfilling prophecy, and you are dooming yourself to failure. So, watch the way you talk and use powerful words that will drive you to action.
The Power Of Gratitude
One final principle that I want to share with you in this post is that successful people understand the power of gratitude. Where poor people are constantly complaining and prefer to be victims of things that are out of their control, rich people are grateful for everything they have in this world.
They understand that money isn’t everything, and they discipline themselves to give thanks for everything God has blessed them with. So, instead of complaining about what you don’t have, why not give thanks for what you do have?
If you want to create a new reality in your life, you are going to have to start talking and thinking in a new way. It is never too late to get started, regardless of your age or current financial state. You have to make a decision that, starting from this very moment, you are going to become a different and better version of yourself.
