If you want to have success in your business, you have to become more efficient. In part 1 of this series on MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY, I will give you 4 tips to dramatically increase your overall efficiency.
You Must Manage Your Time
Pretty much all of the best business geniuses in the world become masters at time management. If you want to multiply your success, you must become good at time management as well. What has helped me is to create an hourly schedule. I usually create it first thing in the morning. I have noticed that this has allowed me to get things done in a dramatically faster rate, thus exploding my efficiency.
I recommend that you use some kind of software program or planner to create your tasks. You need to keep track of how much time you are spending on your activities, and this will allow you to eliminate any unnecessary activities that are not useful when it comes to reaching your business goals.
Make A Note Of Your Ideas
One of the things that is going to happen to you once you start working on tasks is that random ideas will pop into your mind throughout the day. The mistake that many people make is to stop what they are doing and move on to taking care of the ideas that pop into their mind.
However, if you want to maximize your efficiency, it is essential that, instead of working on the random ideas that pop into your mind, you make a quick note of these ideas and then proceed to add them to your to-do-list the next day. That way, you will remain focused on your current tasks but you won’t forget about valuable ideas that pop into your mind.
Break Down Your Goals
I once let myself go and gained 80 pounds of excess weight. You can imagine that I was overwhelmed at the idea of having to lose those 80 pounds. So, what I discovered is that, instead of thinking about losing 80 pounds, it would be more effective if I focused on losing 10 pounds at a time. In the end, I succeeded in getting back to my ideal weight.
The point of me telling you this is that, with your personal tasks or goals, it is best if you also break them down into smaller, more achievable tasks or goals. For some reason, this grows your efficiency exponentially.
Always Stay Organized
The last tip I want to cover is to keep your work space organized. I have found that your mind stays clearer and you stay more focused by simply seeing that everything is organized around you. You will also be able to find the things you need for your business much easier, also contributing to your overall efficiency.
You can either choose to be a mediocre business owner or you can choose to be a great business owner. Personally, I believe you were born to be great, so I want to challenge you to reach MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY by incorporating these powerful tips. You will realize that by doing so you will be at least 5 times more productive than any of your competitors.
