Today I will be covering more sales concepts you need to apply in your business if you want to increase your sales. There is no denying that sales is a very tough science. However, that last word should encourage you. Because it is a science it can be understood and mastered. Today I will give you 3 main points that will allow you to advance your expertise on the matter of sales.
The Power Of Repetition
The first concept that you need to understand is the power of repetition. Yes, the power of repetition. See what I did there? I applied this concept in that sentence. You see, when you choose to repeat something, it makes it more likely that the information will be retained in the minds of those who are listening to you.
For example, when I read books, I noticed that the books that I remember the most are the ones that do a recap at the end of each chapter of the main points learned in that chapter. It also happens with videos that I watch. I am able to remember more the ones that do a summary of the information covered at the end of the video. So, once you identify your core message, make sure that you repeat it as much as possible in your marketing materials and sales copy.
Provide A Change Of Pace
The second concept that you need to understand is the importance of having a constant change of pace in your marketing. You don’t want to have a long and dull message. For example, think of a great action movie. During the first half of the movie, the director builds up the characters so that you can become familiar with them. However, somewhere in the middle, the pace picks up and the action begins, keeping you off-balance and intrigued. There are 3 ways you can change the pace of your message.
First Change Of Pace
The first way to change the pace is to routinely change the topics within the message. You can do this by pausing in the middle of your message and saying something like: “By the way, that reminds me of this.” By doing this, you will keep your audience intrigued and excited at your message.
Second Change Of Pace
The second way to change the pace is to tell stories. For example, you can say something like this: “Today I will give you the top 5 exercises to get a flat stomach in 30 days. But, before I get started, let me tell you a story.” At the end, you will get back to your original message, but you have created enough of a distraction that they will not be able to fall asleep during your message.
Third Change Of Pace
The third way to change the pace is to provide evidence inside your message. For example, you can say something like this: “Today I will be giving you the top 5 emails you need to be writing to increase your sales. But before I do that, let me show you what some of our satisfied customers have to say.” Again, this is a very powerful tactic that will help you boost engagement. And, always remember to connect your interruptions to your original message and to bring all the concept together at the end.
Avoid These Words
Finally, I want to tell you to remember to avoid certain words. You don’t want to have a sales copy filled with the words “I” or “me.” This will be an instant turn-off for your prospects. Limit yourself to using words such as “you” and “your.” You need to become selfless and keep your visitors in mind all the time. This is likely to motivate them much more than a message that sounds selfish.
Make sure that you incorporate these messages into your overall marketing campaigns. Remember to repeat your message constantly so that it sinks into the minds of your prospects. Also, use interruptions to keep your audience off-balance. Finally, make the message about them and not about you. With this in mind you will become highly successful.
